Workshops & Commissions Etc.
I run many writing workshops for both young people and adults. Work with young people is described in the education section of this site. I am a regular tutor at Arvon, and am a visiting lecturer at universities both in the UK and Europe, I have led workshops for the British Council and many festivals, arts organisations, and private companies. I also have held many residencies during my career.
I frequently get commissioned to create pieces of work as part of projects, as evaluations and as works of art. I have created pieces for BBC Radio, Arts Council of England, York Minster, Irwell Sculpture Trail, The Lowry and many others. Fuller details of this type of work can be found here.
I act as a mentor for a number of writers, helping them realise their creative ideas and visions.
